  I don't normally have Zhonchi on my brain but my friends Mj and Hale were getting ready for Zhongchi week. Basically it is a week dedicated to the ship of Zhongli and Childe from Genshin with guided promps for each day. One of the days the prompt was "biting" so they both started talking about making vampire fics. I was a simply by stander as they talked about their differing stories about Zhongli as a vampire and as they continued my brain started to whirr with an idea. A simply phantom of the opera esque with Childe exploring a dark hallway only to be suprised greeted by a hungry Zhongli vampire. I simply sketched it out at work and then when I got home I sat on my couch for like two hours and when I woke up from my haze I made this.

  I tried a different style of painting with different brushes, I don't know if I liked it enough to keep making this my way of painting. I am still expiramenting but I did like how this eventually turned out. I did a more sketch then paint over it approach. I know I was more willing to paint over what I had already put down in order to adjust, which I struggle with. Childe's eyes in particular I kept painting over and over but I like how that bled into the final results
